About Nina Salomons
Filmmaker & VR Creative
Nina Salomons studied filmmaking for five years and started off her career interning for Working Title Pictures and Saatchi & Saatchi. She continued to create various work from documentaries, short films, online content to 360 films. She's worked with Will Self, UNHCR, Huffington Post, The Guardian, The New York Times, Tom Swindell and Mike Figgis.
She's organised film festivals, hackathons, events and is one of the co-founders of London's Women in VR meet up group in 2016. In 2017 she started working for VRFocus as presenter, journalist and video content producer. Whilst working at VRFocus she also led the VR Diversity Initiative, a not-for profit aimed at training under-represented groups how to make VR/360 films/WebVR and AR.
In 2017 she was selected as an emerging filmmaker as part of the Modern Tales program.
A filmmaker, XR expert and diversity advocate she now continues to create films, documentaries, VR works, branded content and is bringing VR into prison in the UK for rehabilitation.
